Craig is an active member of the SMPS Palmetto Chapter. Craig is a Fellow and past national president of SMPS and was honored by the Society with the 2007 Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award. Craig was also awarded Chapter President of the Year in 1995 and received the SMPS San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter Hankinson Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2005. Craig is a regular contributor to the SMPS Marketer, and other industry and business trade journals, and a frequent presenter at local, regional, and national association meetings.

Known for her love of data, Courtney Kearney, CPSM—owner of CKearney Consulting (CKC)—brings her marketing skills and years of experience to a technical world of databases, processes and numbers. CKC provides CRM system evaluation, implementation, training and data analytics services. Before starting CKC, Courtney spent a decade as a marketer in the proposal trenches, but her roots go even deeper as her first experience in marketing was at the age of 14. Her history with AEC goes back even further, as she likes to say she was “born into” the industry and grew up visiting her dad at work on jobsites and loved it. “The love for the industry got in my blood at a young age and never left!”

Judy Sparks

With over 25 years of experience in the AEC industry, Judy has helped 150+ companies in the built environment build better brands, compete more effectively and drive revenue for their firms. A recognized thought leader, podcast host, and frequent speaker for industry organizations including AIA, ACEC, and AGC, Judy is known for powerful thinking that moves the C-suite to take action. Judy has been instrumental in helping her clients grow their business and, in some cases, double their revenue by implementing proven marketing strategies such as Account-Based Marketing. Judy is also a part-time professor at Georgia Tech, where she teaches integrated marketing for the College of Design.



April Noa

Leslie Goode

Leslie Goode has years of experience working in the AEC industry. Her knowledge covers all forms of marketing, business development, strategic planning, and public relations/communications programs, marketing research, marketing consulting, promotion, and design efforts. Barbara Shuck, FSMPS, CPSM

Barbara Shuck, FSMPS, CPSM, is a seasoned veteran of the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. With 35+ years’ experience, she teaches, challenges, motivates, & inspires others to achieve new heights, and has worked for general contracting, engineering, construction management, and architectural firms. Lindsay Young, MBA, CPSM

Lindsay Young, MBA, CPSM, has been in marketing and business development in the building industry for over 13 years. She has experience with small and medium sized firms and starting marketing departments from the ground up. Her knowledge includes strategic marketing plans and budgets. She helps companies with trade show implementation, customer and employee event planning, brand perception surveys, social media presence, and project management of branding and website redevelopment. She is currently Chief Difference Maker at nu marketing, a strategic marketing consulting company Lindsay started to help businesses increase their profits and build their business.



Deirdre Gilmore, FSMPS, CPSM

Deirdre Gilmore is the founder of TankGirl Marketing. For 19 years, Deirdre has led every part of marketing and communications for AEC companies of all types, sizes, markets and geographies. As the marketing leader of some of Arizona’s most prestigious AEC firms, Deirdre is a master at coordinating the marketing and communications strategy for companies with multiple market sectors. She specializes in setting strategies, business and marketing planning, training and coaching, strategic pursuits, strategy, and branding. Deirdre earned her Bachelors degree in English Literature from Sonoma State University.

Russ Sanford is a civil engineer by education, but a business leader by choice. He has executive management experience with professional service firms including engineering, construction, and architecture. Russ is process driven and possesses a keen eye for analyzing large, complex issues and developing step-by-step processes for solving challenges. He provides overarching strategy, leadership, and management of the marketing, business development, and proposal efforts to achieve year on year growth of profitable net service revenue. Russ oversees all internal and external corporate communications and is the point person for crisis communication.



Michael Meddock, PE, CPSM

Michael Meddock, PE, CPSM, is a graduate with a BSCE from University of Pittsburgh and is proud to also have the CPSM credentials. Mike has been with SME for 27 years and currently is a Regional VP, overseeing SME’s IN, OH and KY operations. Known internally as “the opener,” Mike has opened five new offices during his career, but he is most proud of his development and administration of SME’s BAP program. This program has fundamentally changed SME’s culture, which has resulted in better proposal hit rates, growth, and NPS scores that are leading our industry. A well-respected leader in the industry, Kayla has held a variety of leadership positions specializing in developing and executing creative marketing and targeted business development strategies, implementation, and coaching. Kayla has been an active member of SMPS since 2014, earning her CPSM credentials in 2017. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Marketing-Communications from Temple University.

Alexandra Jayjock, CPSM
Business Development Strategist

Driven by a belief that the role of the AEC business development professional is changing, Alex founded Dragonfly AEC Consulting in 2017. Her career in the industry has exposed her to a broad range of markets, services and geographies. She believes in developing a strategic business development culture and process. Her skills and experiences prove invaluable in defining what business development can and should look like. Alex is an active member of several industry organizations including SMPS, ASHE, and SCUP.  She holds a holds a degree in Marketing from Virginia Tech, and Alex achieved her CPSM accreditation in 2011.

Chaz Ross-Munro, CPSM, CF APMP

Chaz manages a team responsible for providing comprehensive CRM and Proposal Automation solutions for some of the world's best AEC firms. She brings 15 years of AEC marketing experience and helped secure more than $700 million in contracts. Chaz is the author of Sink or Swim Faster! Making a Splash in Marketing Professional Services (a great resource to help onboard new AEC marketers). She is a CPSM, holds a CF APMP through the Association of Professional Management Professionals, and is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Melissa Lutz, FSMPS, CPSM

As the head of all marketing and communications, Melissa is responsible for the brand and image of Champlin. Melissa manages and develops targeted business development and marketing strategies with each niche team to create unique opportunities for the firm. Using her skills as a Community Liaison, she also serves as a team member on various public projects. If that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Melissa is also an active and current member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and is Past President of SMPS.
