CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

CALL FOR 2019 SMPS SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE (SERC) SESSION CONVENERS

Are you planning to register and attend SMPS Southeast Regional Conference in March 2019? If so, you might consider serving as a Concurrent Session Convener.

Session Conveners are important to the smooth and successful operation of the conference. You provide the personal touch that is vital to the overall SMPS SERC experience. Session Conveners introduce presenters, assist as necessary with Q&A, manage session evaluation forms, keep speakers on time, and alert the SERC Committee in the event of a safety concern or medical emergency.

There will be approximately 18 concurrent sessions and 2-3 Keynote Speakers that require Conveners during the conference. Conveners are selected based on their availability during the conference and represent a cross section of our SMPS regional membership.

In order to be a convener, you must:

  1. Be an SMPS member in good standing.

  2. Be registered for the conference and able to serve on the days for which you are registered. For example, a Convener registered only for Monday cannot convene a session on Tuesday.

SMPS SERC Program Co-Chairs will assign conveners based on their availability.

Please email us by January 14, 2019, concerning your interest, day(s) available, local SMPS Chapter name, and contact information to…
