JonRobert Tartaglione, MA, MSc

Researcher and Author of the 2018 SMPS Foundation Research Report:  Understanding the Neuroscience (Neuropsychology) in Client Decision-Making

Influence is inextricably intertwined with success. In the first part of this session, psychologist and behavioral scientist JonRobert Tartaglione will review The Five Principles of Influence, which are the five most important things to know in order to optimize any influence strategy. In the second part, he will provide hands-on exposure on how to operationalize The Five Principles of Influence in real-world scenarios to effectively gain trust and change attitudes. Ultimately, you’ll understand how influence operates as well as know how to apply this understanding to make an impact on marketing campaigns and sales strategies.

Principle 1: The human brain is not a computer
Principle 2: Our social nature matters
Principle 3: Our political sensibilities matter
Principle 4: Timing and priming matter
Principle 5: Structure of presentation matters
