For all of the valuable analysis that data can provide your project teams and clients, it also brings a daunting challenge: how do you present complex information in a way that doesn’t suck the life out of a conference room?

Make no mistake: most technical presentations (whether for project updates or short-list interviews) are painful PowerPoint Death Stars that can make even the most seasoned professional or sophisticated client wonder whether she should have listened to her mother and gone to medical school.

This highly interactive workshop offers participants the chance to explore how to present data (especially the complex financial and technical information that defines a successful project) in a way that is simple and persuasive, connects with listeners, and ultimately inspires confidence in the speaker and their team.

Takeaways/learning outcomes

Participants will gain a clear sense of why verbal communication is not a good medium for “data transmission.”

Participants will learn how to bring their data to life and illuminate it by using stories, examples, and analogies.

Participants will learn the qualities of good business stories, and how to structure one for maximum impact.

Participants will learn how to defend their data and enhance their own credibility when faced with challengers and skeptics.
